PROJECTS
INSIDE THE OPEN-LAB: PROJECTING!
The Projects inside the Open-LAB proposed to Engineering students from the University of Brasilia seeks to integrate students from different courses to develop projects that include our three prototyping areas: electronics, 3D printing and woodwork. In the first edition of the PROJECTING! (2018) two projects were developed.
ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
Our 3D printing cell currently has three printers: Cartesian (similar to the Prusa model), Delta TEVO and Stratasys Objet30 Pro. In the Cartesian group we have printers developed at the University of Brasilia and also a DaVinci XYZ.

Different materials can be used as input and this can be worked with various temperatures and settings. Currently we use: PLA, ABS and PETG in FDM (fused deposition material) printing, and resin (VeroWhite) in the SLS (selective laser sintering) method in the Stratasys ObJet30 Pro Printer.

Milling Cutter CNC
Within the LAB, as an internal project, a CNC was developed to work with milling cutter materials. This is an example of a project that also links LAB’s three main cells: electronics, woodworking and 3D printing.
